I AM A MAN


I have immense strength,
That can break mountain 
and turn it into particles.
I have immense will,
Which can turn the river course 
And even can make the ocean dry.
But I want to remain silent,
As lethargy has arrested me.
Corruption has distracted me.
I am not in my-self.
I speak in a tone,
And act in other.
With a mask, I am a respected one.
Without it poor self reflects.
I am split personality,
As I am a man.

I am clever, I am cunning.
I am opportunist.
And can silent all existence threat,
So I am superior life in planet.
I can change wrong to right,
And again right to wrong.
As I am superior than other form.
I AM A MAN , I AM A MAN.

Another election had been scheduled, organised and results are declared. The associated campaigning by various parties made us aware of many issues that had gathered dust over the years and also re-iterated the burning issues while hiding some skeletons inside the party’s / candidate’s   cupboard. However the one character that remains unchanged over the years is the protagonist in this entire exercise- the common masses. Yes, even after being aware of the lacunae prevailing in our electoral process, we Indians prefer the cosiness of our drawing room to only criticize the political parties, the candidates/politicians, and the entire system of which we are also a part, choosing to turn a blind eye to the role (rather not played) by us to change our government for the better.   Post 1991, there was rapid marketisation of education under the pretext of privatisation. The marketing section of education has a great banner, advertisement to attract people to admit there wards. New courses like Horse riding, Swimming, foreign tour, teaching of language subjects like German, French, Spanish came into force in our institutions with less importance given to vernacular languages. Learning of any language may be national or foreign is a welcome approach but it should not be at the cost of vernacular language.
